Kennings are roundabout ways of referring to things, popular in the Lands of the Linnorm Kings.  If you are making a charisma-based skill check and you work in a kenning, you get +1d6 on the roll.  (Even Use Magic Device – the gods appreciate a good kenning as much as the next fellow.) This is subject to the following limitations:

- kennings need to be brief, 4 words long max

- at least someone present, player or DM, must be able to figure out what you mean

- the DM may steal kennings from the big list at wikipedia, the players ideally will come up with their own.

- you can't reuse a kenning that someone else has already made
